.4 miles from the Courthouse. This place is easy to figure out—as long as you know the rules. First, get in line (it’ll look really long but it moves fast). Once you get close to the front, you’ll shout out your order to one of the two owners/brothers working the ovens and paddles. Then, by the time you make it to the register, your piping hot slices will be sitting there waiting for you. Slices are Rosa’s claim to fame and have been so for the 20-plus years it has served the Broad Street faithful. You’ll be hard-pressed to find anyone who has worked downtown who hasn’t been to Rosa’s. Yeah, they have calzones, hot subs, sausage rolls, lasagna and (dare we say) salads–but this is the place you come to for greasy NY-style slices on a paper plate. It’s a tough walk from the courthouse, but it’s definitely do-able on a nice day. Also, leave yourself plenty of time to account for the walk to and fro, the line, and then the five minutes it’ll take to swallow your pair of slices.
