Ria's famous pancakes

1.3 miles from the Courthouse.  Specializing in breakfast, sandwiches and veggie dishes.  The New York Times, which knows a thing or two about food, hails the pancakes as the best they ever had!  Yes, we said pancakes.  Trial lawyers whose stomachs are churning can always appreciate the simplicity of these guys while they’re in the heat of battle.  The pancakes here are simply remarkable and by far the one dish that puts this place on the map.  Other than pancakes, there are still a number of unique dishes here.  Blackened tilapia over organic white cheddar grits, Angus beef brisket with poached eggs, and Roast beef (freshly roasted in house!) sandwich with fresh-ground horseradish sauce are the standouts.  For veg-heads, you can eat tofu or tempeh just about anyway imaginable (Country fried tempeh steak, BBQ veggie riblet sandwich and even a Tempeh rueben–to name a few).  The great thing about Ria’s is how quick you can get in and out of here.  You can sit at the counter with your Daily Report and be out the door in 15 minutes if you order quick enough.  The chef/owners, Ria Pell and Stephen Gannon, are well recognized here in Atlanta (and even New York for that matter).  They’ve appeared on local TV and have been featured on the History Channel’s American Eats.
