.4 miles from the Courthouse. A reliable sandwich shop just within walking distance to the courthouse with a loyal following.  The local owners have a keen sense of humor and must be doing something right as they’re entering their 20th year on the historic square in Newnan.  In the morning, big eaters can order the Casey Plate with four eggs on top of four pieces of toast with bacon, sausage and cheese grits.  Everyone else can grab a biscuit sandwich, pancakes or a standard eggs-and-three (grits, meat and a biscuit).  Every day, their website posts the daily lunch special which typically consists of a meat-and-two (e.g., fried chicken, 2 sides and a corn muffin) or you can find it on the board inside the restaurant.  The extensive menu consists mostly of sandwiches including wraps, hoagies (philly’s and po’ boys), burgers, and housemade pimento cheese and chicken salad.  Sammies come with a choice of sides including awesome hand cut fries, broccoli cranberry salad and, the crowd favorite, “RG Caviar” (a cold concoction of black-eyed peas, tomatoes, and spicy peppers).  Stop in on Friday for “dawg day” featuring 1/4 pound beef dogs topped with slaw, kraut, killer chili or the “nearly famous” Brunswick Stew.  It’s a fairly quick in and out and this local’s favorite is certainly one of your best options in the square.

Just wanted to report a new b’fast special for serious carnivores: The “Paul Bunyan” is a biscuit cut in half and topped with 2 eggs and Canadian bacon then covered with gravy and bacon pieces!
