.1 miles from the Courthouse. Decatur’s first independently owned steakhouse was opened by local brothers John-Thomas and Christopher Scott. The restaurant is conducive to private dining so this is a perfect spot for business lunches or to get some privacy during trial.
Steak is the specialty here and the lunch menu offers their grilled flat iron steak on either a sandwich (on ciabatta bread with an onion jam and melted Gruyere) or salad (with housemade ranch dressing). Another tough choice is deciding between the grass-fed burger (from Georgia’s White Oak Pastures) or the prime Black Angus burger. Other interesting options include a smoked brisket sandwich with peach barbecue sauce and a house salad featuring peppered bacon, toasted pecans and dried cherries in a gorgonzola dressing.
There’s also a slider menu (referred to as “Pops”) where you can choose up to three from selections ranging from the aforementioned grass-fed burger to prime rib, fried oysters, crab cake, and even a curried chickpea and potato (one of the menu’s few vegetarian options).
Not a quick in and out but this is definitely the place to go when privacy is the primary objective.
