Hudson’s Hickory House

1.9 miles from the Courthouse. Buford Hudson has been dishing out his stew and cue to the Douglasville faithful for over 40 years.  He slathers his tangy vinegar based sauce all over generous plates of pit cooked pork and beef served alongside fresh cut fries and hot buns.  One of the unique items here is the hickory smoked potato that comes topped with your choice of barbecue.  Also featured are fried green beans and fried pickles in addition to the standard baked beans, slaw and onion rings.  Hickory smoked wings and fried pies round out the menu.  Offering both counter and table service, lunch here is definitely a quick in and out.
