.7 miles from the Courthouse. Located in Historic Lawrenceville, this not-so-historic meat-and-two serves up delicious southern food like its been doing it for decades.  The restaurant has a rotation of five daily menus offering a different lineup of meat and veggies every weekday (with a few exceptions like the delicious fried chicken which you can get any day).  The highlight of the meal comes early as right after you order, your server brings one of their now legendary biscuits sitting in a simple yet seductive mixture of honey and butter!  The biscuit’s crusty exterior is a perfect match for the gooey honey and butter as it coats the bottom of the biscuit and drips all the way from the plate to your mouth.  This dish is a must for those dining in but doesn’t quite hold up in takeout.  The food is all made from scratch and well executed.  Many of the veggie dishes are, in fact, vegetarian which is also a plus.  One major surprise is the outstanding homemade veggie burger.  Crispy and nutty, even resembling a hamburger’s texture, this burger is a must-have and by far the most underrated dish on the menu.  If you’re lucky to get a table right away, its a very quick in and out.  If not, table turnover is pretty quick and takeout is always an option.
